Address Book Search ToolbarThis is an overview of what the address book will look like after adding the search widgets. The Personal
Address Book has a 'Go To' button while the LDAP has a 'Search' button.
On the picture below you can see that a new toolbar appeared. With that
new toolbar, you can select the address book you want to search and then
enter your text or clicking on the search button depending if you enabled
the automatic search, the results of the search will appear in the results
frame if it is a read only address book or go to the card directly. There
is a 1 second delay on LDAP Address Books.
The card features like add, modify, delete ... are still available depending on the address book of course.
The button [Advanced search] will display the advanced search dialog box described later.
The automatic search check box is to enable or disable the automatic search.

Example of a search on the read/write address bookThis is an example of a search on the personal address book. The text entered was 'hor' and the corresponding card will be highlighted. If you delete 'hor' from the toolbar then the first card will be selected.
Example of a search on the read/write address bookThis is an example of a search on the Personal address book. The text entered was 'alexis' and the results frame display only the cards containing alexis in their display name or primary email address. If you delete 'alexis' from the toolbar then all the cards of the selected address book will be displayed.
Advanced Search Dialog Box.Here is the Advanced Search dialog box.
In this dialog box you have the choice between a Basic Search and Detailed Search
With the Basic Search, you can enter text in each field and the query
will return the cards corresponding to:
Name = ? and organization = ? and email = ? and department = ? where ? is different to "".
In the screen, you can select if you want to match all expression or match all the expression that you created. Then by clicking on search, the expression will be translated into a query and the cards corresponding will be returned in the results tree. From that results tree you will be able to see the detail of each cards and drag and drop them to the main address book window.
